Thank A Soldier - greeting card program

Ocean County Library Point Pleasant Borough Branch and American Recreation Military Services (ARMS) in honor of May being Military Appreciation Month, are sponsoring a "Send a Greeting to Our Soldiers" day on Thursday, May 26 between 1 pm and 3 pm.

Community members are encouraged to come into the branch during that time where ARMS will haveyellow ribbon cards for them to write a greeting of appreciation that ARMS will send to currently deployed United States soldiers.

ARMS will also have a donation box in the library for the public to donate much needed items that will boxed and shipped by ARMS to our service men and women. Items needed the most include batteries of all types, first aid supplies, sunscreen, chap sticks, and eye drops. ARMS will box up all items and ship them free of charge to needy soldiers. Arms is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide services to local armories including area unit Family Readiness Groups, as well as providing direct assistance to family members in need.
