Christie's 'Storm Czar' to Resign, Be Replaced by Deputy

Ferzan moving out of state, report says

Marc Ferzan, the man tapped by Gov. Chris Christie to manage recovery from Superstorm Sandy in New Jersey, is stepping down, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Tuesday.

Ferzan, who oversees the Governor's Office of Recovery and Rebuilding, is leaving to support his wife's career at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia, the newspaper reported.

Ferzan will be replaced by Terrence Brody, who is currently the deputy director of the Recovery and Rebuilding office. Prior to his post there, Brody was chief of staff to the state attorney general, NorthJersey.com reported.

“Marc Ferzan led our efforts to meet that challenge and did so with great professionalism, effectiveness and with the needs of Sandy survivors always in the front of his mind,” Christie said in a statement Tuesday, according to the NorthJersey.com report.
