Brue and Adam Niedzwiecki of "The Brue Crew" are scheduled to play from 6 to 7 p.m. at Rella's, Route 71, Brielle. Other musical acts will play live before and after, as part of a day of festivities held at different local venues to help the town recover from Superstorm Sandy.

This will be followed by an opening ceremony at the plaza with live entertainment, the national anthem and some speeches from 2 to 3 p.m.

"By the end of the ceremony, it is recommended that the adults line up their babysitters and prepare themselves for an afternoon and evening of fun in Manasquan, Brielle, Spring Lake, Sea Girt and Spring Lake Heights," organizers announced, as the fun turns to a bar crawl of sorts through the area.

Each participating bar will have live entertainment, a band or a DJ. Free transportation (cab service) will be provided to get you from bar to bar.

The event is from noon to 8 p.m. and a $20 donation gets you two free drinks and a free buffet at any participating bar.

The list of participating businesses continues to grow. Check out rebuildmanasquannj.com for more information.
