Garden State Parkway Expansion

Expansion = Destruction of Habitat!!

I have a question and a statement. Yesterday as I was driving home, I could not help but notice how the workers who are expanding the lanes on the parkway were up in their cherry pickers just sawing the limbs off the trees along side the road.  I started to cry as I thought how the State of New Jersey seems to be chopping down tree after tree everywhere I look. What happens to the wildlife - the deer and the birds? They are woefully short on places to live as it is....and some of these trees have been growing there for decades. Who makes these decisions and when is the devastation of our remaining trees and forests going to stop already? We have too many empty shopping plazas that stripped our state of it's natural beauty already!

Oh and lastly, I guess the tolls on the Garden State Parkway will be there forever now since we the taxpayers will have to pay for this latest destruction of habitat called Parkway Expansion.

Surely I am not the only one who has pondered this.
