WHY: Thousands of homes were damaged and destroyed during the severe flooding, high-winds and rains associated with Hurricane Sandy, leaving New York and New Jersey residents disenfranchised, displaced and dispossessed.
In our experience in dealing with Local Authorities, Building Departments and FEMA, we’ve come to realize there is a lack of awareness about the newest engineering, defensive building practices and applications, and we hope to shed light on plans to rebuild these communities.
For those with little insurance, the wrong type of coverage, or different insurance adjusters' opinions, this Town Hall is for you as well. This open forum is about education and the restoration of hope for anyone and everyone able to attend, so that no family is left behind or forgotten because of the cost to rebuild or the lack of the right type of insurance.
