Matthew Adams Petracco, 39, of Point Pleasant Beach, a life-long resident of Bay Head, passed away on Friday, surrounded by his loving family, at Meridian Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brick.

Matt was born in Point Pleasant Hospital, graduated from Bay Head Elementary School, Point Pleasant Beach High School and Washington College in Chestertown, MD. He spent his professional life advising clients about their business and personal investments.

Matt was predeceased by his mother, Nancy J. Petracco and his grandparents, Arthur and Mildred Petracco and Lester and Janet Hamilton.

He is survived by his twin nine-year old children, Andrew and Carolyn and their mother, Judi Sommers of Brick; his father, Arthur (Monica) Petracco of Point Pleasant Beach; his siblings, Chris (Susan) of Washington, DC., Anne (John) Woods and children, Jack, Van & Nell of Annapolis, MD, and Ethan (Daria) of Mantoloking.

Matt is also survived by his mother's siblings, Susan Hamilton, John (Kim) Hamilton, Libby Hamilton, Mike Hamilton, Laurie Hamilton and great aunt, Jean Hamilton; his father's siblings, Mike (Barbara) Petracco of Houston, TX., Barbara (Sal) Marino of Point Pleasant and John (Val) Petracco of Ft. Meyers, FL.

Friends may call on Tuesday, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home - 2170 Highway 88, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Bay Head. Interment is private.
