OPINION: Point Pleasant Beach Charges $3.00 Per Hour To Park On The Street?
So says New Jersey's largest newspaper. $3.00 per hour: That's 25 cents every 5 minutes.
They should be ashamed of themselves, especially when the tax dollars of ALL New Jerseyans (and Fed dollars as well) paid to rehabilitate the shore and boardwalk after Sandy. "Restore the Shore" was a cute slogan that was meant to inspire "togetherness" for a worthy cause. Little did we know it would translate into "Restore the Shore" so the Point Pleasant Beach Mayor and Council would be able to gouge visitors to the very place we helped restore!"
