Comments About My post

Received some comments from my couple of posts. I am THRILLED somebody read the two posts! One gentleman asked, "What do you do"? "Who are you?" And, talk is cheap...do something. Fair enough and good point!
As any 30 something would tell you, I am WAY over the hill. At almost 70 and having recently beat off cancer, I am not sure I am worthy of public office. However, I am an expert on management with particular emphasis on not-for-profit organizations including public entities. I have an earned Doctorate from Rutgers University and several Master's degrees. I have served as the CEO of several major trade associations in Washington, DC and have taught as a university professor. I have written extensively on the subjects of organizational certification and accreditation programs.
I have undertaken to share some of my accumulated knowledge and information and I am focusing on PP Borough government.
The idea of writing in the Patch is to gain some influence. I write to the PP Borough Council almost weekly and share ideas, thoughts and suggestions. So far, I have been mostly ignored.

PS One fellow wrote me that influencing local government in Ocean County requires an understanding of the vast power of County government. Could County politicians be that powerful...to the point of deciding who gets elected?
