Point Beach Man and Lavallette Man Facing Drug Charges in Wall

Charges filed following a motor vehicle stop

A Point Pleasant Beach man and a Lavallette man are facing drug charges after their car was stopped on Route 35 and Warren Avenue in Wall, police said Wednesday morning.

Justin Alia, 20, of Point Pleasant Beach, and Benjamin Keiser, 20, of Lavallette, were charged on Jan. 2, following a motor vehicle stop on Dec. 31, police said.

On Dec. 31, Patrolman James Cadigan stopped a vehicle operated by Alia. The car was impounded pending the application for a search warrant on the vehicle which was granted on January 2, 2013, police said.

Subsequent to the search warrant execution, Alia and Keiser were each charged with possession of marijuana over fifty grams, possession with intent to distribute over fifty grams of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were processed and released pending their court dates.
