Point Beach Man and Lavallette Man Facing Drug Charges in Wall

Charges filed following a motor vehicle stop

A Point Pleasant Beach man and a Lavallette man are facing drug charges after their car was stopped on Route 35 and Warren Avenue in Wall, police said Wednesday morning.

Justin Alia, 20, of Point Pleasant Beach, and Benjamin Keiser, 20, of Lavallette, were charged on Jan. 2, following a motor vehicle stop on Dec. 31, police said.

On Dec. 31, Patrolman James Cadigan stopped a vehicle operated by Alia. The car was impounded pending the application for a search warrant on the vehicle which was granted on January 2, 2013, police said.

Subsequent to the search warrant execution, Alia and Keiser were each charged with possession of marijuana over fifty grams, possession with intent to distribute over fifty grams of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were processed and released pending their court dates.

They need to legalize or at least decriminalize this 'drug'. Waste of money, waste of jail space & taxpayer dollars etc. And i know my good friends on the Patch will be chiming in to disagree w/ me! Wheres "Chief Wahoo" & "WMS826?"? Come on guys, i know you cant wait to school me on this opinion! Lol! If i need to be amused ill check back for the hate mail :)
