Boro Woman Indicted on Robbery, Hindering Prosecution Charges

Kaitlyn McMenamy remains lodged in Ocean County Jail

A Point Pleasant Borough woman was indicted Tuesday on two charges related to an August robbery in Toms River.

Ocean County grand jurors found there was sufficient evidence to charge Kaitlyn M. McMenamy of Fleming Avenue with second-degree robbery and third-degree hindering apprehension or prosecution.

McMenamy is accused of using force to rob a man on Aug. 15 in Toms River. Furthermore, she stands accused of giving false information to Toms River police officers who were investigating the alleged theft.

McMenamy is lodged in Ocean County Jail, with bail set at $10,000, no 10 percent option. As a condition of bail, she cannot have any contact with the alleged victim.
