Police Ask Public to View Video, Photos of Shop Rite Purse Snatching

Brick police hope public can help ID people captured by surveillance cameras

Brick police are asking the public to view video and photographs of several individuals who may be involved with a purse snatching at the Shop Rite in the shopping plaza on Route 70 and Chambersbridge Road.

On Sunday, a victim reported that her purse had been removed from her shopping cart while she was shopping in the grocery store in Brick. The victim's name was not released.

Surveillance video and still photos were provided by the store, and based on this information, police are looking to identify several persons of interest.

Police are asking the public to view the attached video which shows the crime taking place, and the additional photos which depict four subjects (including the female subject that removed the purse) who police wish to identify.

The additional still photo of a black vehicle shows the vehicle in which the subjects left the scene. Anyone recognizing any of these subjects is asked to call Detective Gregory Mullarkey in the Brick Police Detective Bureau at (732)262-1122.  The investigation is ongoing at this time.
