Bridge Avenue Man Jailed on Robbery, Gun Charges

Ocean County grand juries hand up indictments

A convicted robber is being held in the Ocean County Jail on charges accusing him of pulling a gun on two Point Pleasant women.

Robert P. Woetko, 33, of Bridge Avenue was indicted by an Ocean County grand jury last week on two counts of robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and possession of a weapon by a convicted person charges.

Woetko was arrested Nov. 9 on charges he used a Glock 30 .45-caliber handgun to threaten two different women in the borough, the indictment states.

He is being held on $275,000 bail, no 10 percent option. Should Woetko make bail, he is not allowed contact with his alleged victims.

  • Michael P. Steltzer, 33, Dustin T. Fairhurst, 21, and Daniel A. McShane, 19, on drug charges.

McShane and Fairhurst, of Point Pleasant, and Steltzer, of Toms River, were arrested Nov. 1 in Brick and accused of possessing oxycodone.

Steltzer also was charged with possession with intent to distribute and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.

All were released on summonses.

  • Kevin Keyes, 19, of Beach Boulevard on a weapon charge.

Keyes was arrested Jan. 19 in the borough and accused of possessing metal knuckles "without any explainable lawful purpose." He was released on a summons.

  • John Torres, 44, of Brick on a charge of driving while suspended.

Torres was arrested Dec. 11 in the borough and accused of driving while on his second suspension for drunken driving, the indictment states.

He was released on a summons.
