Car Crash Victim Seeking Help To Find Suspect in Route 70 Hit-and-Run

A Brick resident is seeking the public's help in finding the driver of the vehicle who rear-ended her car Monday then left the scene.

The female victim and her 5 year-old daughter were driving home 7:45 p.m. Monday from Route 70 near Duquesne Boulevard in heavy traffic when her car was rear-ended, the victim told Patch. The impact blew out her back windshield and left her car with back-end damage, but also sent her colliding with the car in front of her, damaging the front of her car as well.

The victim said the driver that hit her then left the scene of the accident after colliding at 40 mph.

Brick Police were called to the scene, but the victim is asking anyone who might have witnessed the accident or know of a vehicle with recent front-end damage to report details to the police department at 732-262-1100.

The vehicle police are looking for would be a 2000-2004 Chevy Trail Blazer with moderate front end damage from the crash, exact color unknown.
