Community Watch Program in Point Pleasant Borough Starts Again

Public invited to meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at Borough Hall

The Point Pleasant Borough Community Watch Program is reactivating and inviting the public to its meeting at 7 p. m. Monday at Borough Hall.

The organization is now under the direction of Point Pleasant Police Chief Lawrence Williams and new coordinators CJ Sabosik and Cathy Aiello.

"The Community Watch Program is a group of people living in the same area who want to make their neighborhood safer by working together and, in conjunction with local law enforcement, to reduce crime and improve their quality of life," according to a prepared statement from the police department.

"We look forward to seeing everyone to get this valuable program back up and running," the statement says.           

The Point Pleasant Borough Community Watch Program, under the guidance of the National Sheriff’s Association Neighborhood Watch Program, will have monthly meetings and educational training to include First Aid Training, CPR, Fire Safety and Disaster Management.

The organization is also developing a website, www.ptborowatch.org.

The meeting will be held in the police department training room.
