Five-Car Accident Injured Four in Point Pleasant Borough

Police Still Investigating Crash

Police said on Monday that they are still investigating a five-car accident that left four people with minor injuries  at Bridge Avenue and Route 88 in Point Pleasant Borough.

The accident started when John Fleming, 48, "suffered a seizure or other medical episode," causing him to lose control of his car and veer west into the eastbound lane of the part of Bridge Avenue on the west side of Route 88 at about 2:35 p.m. Thursday, said Captain Richard Larsen.

Fleming then hit a car driven by Dennis Carroll, 47, Point Pleasant Borough, who was trying to turn left from Bridge onto Route 88, Larsen said.
