Missing Boro Girl Has Been Texting Family, Friends

Mom does not know where she is; police searching

A 15-year-old Point Borough girl who ran away Sunday has been intermittently texting family and friends, saying she's OK, but not saying where she is, said the girl's mother.

Allison Chirichello, who is about 5'3", and who will be a junior at Point Borough High School in September, has been texting occassionally using her sister's Blackberry phone, having left her own cell at home, said Colleen Molok, her mother, on Tuesday night.

However, Molok said she does not know where her daughter is and efforts to trace her through the cell phone have been unsuccessful, possibly because it seems Allison often has the cell turned off.

"She texted us Sunday and said, 'I'm OK, I'll be home tomorrow,' " Molok said. But she still hasn't come home.

Point Boro police Chief Larry Williams said police have been in touch with Molok and the girl's father, Tommy Chirichello, who lives in Middletown.

"As we get information, we go look for her, " Williams said on Tuesday night. "We're actively searching."

Allison never ran away before, her mother said.

"She got in trouble, and she ran away," Molok said.

In her texts the last few days, Allison has mentioned she has been in different towns, such as Lakewood, Brick and Asbury Park, Molok said.

When a friend asked her how she's getting around, she said, "I have my ways," her mother said.

Molok said Alilson has no money and is not familiar with public transportation.

Molok's Facebook page says Allison was last seen wearing a light gray hoodie and dark gray sweatpants. Her hair is brown now, but has usually been blonde, the page says.

Molok asks that anyone with information call her at 732-585-7805. Tips can also be called into the Borough police department at 732-892-0060.
