UPDATE: Point Boro Teen Has Been Found Safe

A 17-year-old Point Boro boy who had gone missing Monday is safe, according to the Ocean County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

The update was posted on the Facebook page shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday, after Patch called the sheriff's office for an update. An official there said the office would call Point Borough police and then post an update.

"Update - Konnor Pratt has been located and is safe. Thank you everybody for your assistance," says the post, although it did not say when Konnor had been found and if he was at home.

The Ocean County Sheriff 911 Facebook page, at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, had posted: "Konnor F. Pratt has been entered missing by his mother. Konnor is a 17 year old white male, 5'11," 170 lbs. He has blue eyes, short sandy hair and a goatee. There is no picture available yet. We will post one as soon as we get it. Konnor was last seen at his home in Point Boro. If you know where he is, or have seen him in the last few minutes, please call the Point Boro Police at 732-892-0060, the Barnegat Police at 609-698-5000, or call 911."

Point Borough police would not disclose any information about Konnor or the missing person report.

Barnegat police are an assisting agency because the boy's mother works in Barnegat, said Barnegat Patrolman Chris Steins.

When asked if Konnor went to school on Monday or Tuesday, Steins said he did not know, but that the boy is believed to be in the Point Borough area and "is a frequent runaway."
