Point Beach Arrests During July 4th Week Decrease Slightly From Last Year's

Correction: Borough ordinance violations also decrease during the week of July 4th compared to 2012

Editor's Note: Due to an inadvertent miscalculation, some data provided by the police department to Patch regarding arrests and municipal ordinance violations during this year's 4th of July week and last year's was not fully accurate. The police department has provided the corrected version of the data which is as follows:

The number of criminal arrests in Point Beach during the week of July 4th this year was 40, compared to 47 during the same week in 2012, according to data released by the Point Beach police department on Tuesday afternoon.

During the 4th of July week in 2011, there were 25 criminal arrests and in 2010, there were 34.

Regarding municipal ordinance violations, there were 76 during the July 4th week this year, compared to 123 in 2012, 139 in 2011 and 148 in 2010.
