Point Beach Fire Survivors Turned Away, Or Not: What Should They Do?

The owner of the Point Pleasant Manor has disputed a published report that two survivors of the deadly Point Pleasant Beach fire were turned away from his motel.

He said the two people were welcome to stay, even though the Point Pleasant Manor has no cooking facilities and is not designed to accommodate people for a long period of time, according to NJ.com.

According to NJ.com, he added that his motel housed Hurricane Sandy victims following the October 2012 storm — even letting them stay for free after FEMA stopped paying for the room. The people displaced by the fire have since been relocated to other area motels, according to APP.com.
