Point Boro Man Arrested on Cocaine Charges

Arrest was made on Bay Avenue

 

A Point Pleasant man was arrested last night on Bay Avenue in the Borough without incident by Borough Detectives Lt. Adam Picca, Joseph Hynes and Michelle Hill after an investigation into drug activity in the neighborhood.

Gerardo V. Morales, 30, Bay Avenue, was charged with second degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance (17 grams of cocaine) with intent to distribute and third degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance (cocaine).

He is being held at the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail set by Superior Court Judge Joseph Foster. 

An official at the jail said the suspect is listed in their computer system as "Gerardo Valdivia Morales" and was still lodged at the jail as of 4:40 p.m. Tuesday.
