Brick Man Charged in Beaver Dam Road Hit and Run

Report: owner of vehicle tried to make repairs to cover up incident

A Brick man is being held in the Ocean County Jail, charged in a hit-and-run accident on Beaver Dam Road in Point Pleasant Borough, reports said.

According to the Asbury Park Press, Tyler Bartholomew, 20, is charged with hitting another man, who is also 20, on July 1 while the victim was walking on the shoulder of the road around 11 p.m.

Eventually, Officer Christopher Leonhardt was able to find the car and its driver through witness descriptions, the Press report said, leading to Bartholomew's arrest.

Also, the Press report said, the car's owner, Clare E. Mitchell, 21, of Shrewsbury, was charged with hindering after she allegedly tried to make immediate repairs to the car in order to cover up the damage.

According to jail records, Bartholomew is charged with leaving the scene of an accident with serious bodily injury, assault by auto, aggravated assault and endangering an injured victim.

Had he spent as much money on an education as he did on the disgusting ink he'd probably be a whole lot better off...at the very least he'd have enough $ to afford his OWN car, rather than use someone else's to get around.

What is True Evil The 3 Monkeys Hear, Say , Know no evil. This is why you arm Yourself, That sounds a lot more violent then any Post here. They are Statements and Opinions not threats of Gun possession. Yes I stretched it a bit . Who knows what you are capable of, This person has shown what he is capable of. But the public will convict on Impression and appearances, Picture him No Tats Clean Cut, Conforming Haircut, He will pay for the Mistakes not only that he Made but from The Guidance and support of a dysfunctional Family , And most likely the school system. That failed him. He had a 50-50 choice Stop or Go he chose the wrong one, Sad. because most likely he was not at Fault, were and Substances involved, Even wit me calling for his head i still feel sorry for him, and what the rest of his Young life will have in store for him, he made a lot of bad choices SAD.
