Point Pleasant Man Indicted After Police Find Bags Of Heroin On His Lap

A 24-year-old Point Pleasant man was indicted Wednesday for heroin possession, according to Monmouth County Courthouse records.

Michael J. Sarnataro was allegedly found with heroin on Jan. 27 in Ocean Township, according to court records.

Sarnataro was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, according to court records.

On Jan. 27, police approached the car and saw Sarnataro with several bags of possible heroin on his lap; police also found four hypodermic syringes and less than 50 grams of marijuana in the car, according to The Asbury Park Press.

No bail information was available.
