Ocean County grand jurors had found there was sufficient evidence to charge McMenamy with second-degree robbery and third-degree hindering apprehension or prosecution.

McMenamy had been accused in Ocean County of using force to rob a man on Aug. 15 in Toms River and of giving false information to Toms River police officers who were investigating the alleged theft.

McMenamy had been lodged in Ocean County Jail, with bail set at $10,000, no 10 percent option.
