Police Investigate Attempted Home Entry in Point Pleasant Boro

Three men in their mid-20's attempted to enter a Frances Drive home early Friday morning, police said.

Point Pleasant Boro Police investigated an incident in which two men attempted to enter a Frances Drive home early Friday morning, Police Capt. Rich Larsen confirmed Monday afternoon.

Police responded to a call reporting two men in their mid-20’s were attempting to enter the home around midnight, Larsen said. The homeowner claimed two men approached the home while a third man, also in his 20’s, remained in the driveway with the bicycles the three men were riding, Larsen said.

The men rang the doorbell frantically before attempting to jostle the front door open, according to Larsen. One of the men peered through a small window at the front of the home.

The men then returned to their bicycles without entering the house and fled before police arrived, Larsen said. Police conducted a search of the area, but were not able to locate the suspects.

One suspect was described as between 6’2” and 6’3” with short brown hair, cut in the style of a buzz cut, and brown eyes.

Another suspect was described as about 5’9” with short wavy brown hair and brown eyes.

The homeowner couldn’t describe the third man, who remained in the driveway. One of the bicycles was described as bright yellow or pink in color.
