Police Investigate Residential, Vehicle Burglaries in Bay Boulevard Area

Police reported a residence and four vehicles reportedly had items removed sometime Thursday night or Friday morning.

Police are investigating a burglary of a residence and reminding residents to lock their car doors at night after some items were stolen sometime Thursday night into Friday morning on the 1800 block of Bay Boulevard. 

Items taken from the residence included electronics, jewelry, and keys to the homeowner’s vehicles that were parked in the driveway, which was taken and later found parked around the corner from the residence, according to a prepared statement from Detective Lieutenant Adam Picca, of the Point Pleasant Police Department.

During the same time frame of the house burglary, there were also reports of  burglaries from four vehicles, police said. The vehicles were unlocked during the times of the burglaries and were parked at their respective residences, located in the 1800 blocks of Bay and Beach Boulevards.

Upon canvas of the area, some residents reported hearing a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and spinning its tires at around 2 a.m. in this same area, according to the prepared statement.  Evidence has been collected from the scenes and is being processed.
