UPDATE: 94-Year-Old Man Wall Man Found Safe in Manchester

Richard Craw had dropped off caretaker at Shop Rite late Friday morning and was missing until Saturday afternoon

A 94-year-old Wall man has been found safe and reunited with his family in Manchester, according to Wall police.

Richard Craw was found uninjured in Manchester and his car, which he had apparently driven there, was undamaged, according to Wall police, who did not yet have details.

Craw, who suffers from dementia, had been missing after a caretaker left him in a car in the Shop Rite parking lot on Route 34 in Wall on Friday, police said.

On Friday, the Wall Township Police Department took a report of a missing man identified as Richard Craw.

Before Craw was found Saturday afternoon, he had last been seen at approximately 11:30 a.m. Friday by his live-in caretaker at the Shop Rite. Craw had been driving the car and dropped her off at the Shop Rite.

The caretaker had expected Craw to park the car and wait for her to come out of the store. However, when she came out, Craw was not anywhere in the lot, said police, who scoured the lot and surrounding areas.

Craw had last been seen operating a green 2001 Ford Escape with New Jersey registration “LSJ48W.”

A Silver Alert was issued yesterday for Craw and his vehicle. 

According to family, Craw suffers from early stage dementia.
