Power Outages Hit Monmouth County

Over 1,700 without power as of 2 p.m. on Monday, according to Jersey Central Power & Light.

The wet, heavy snow is leading to power outages across Monmouth County, according to the Jersey Central Power & Light outage map.

Over 1,700 households were without power as of 2 p.m. on Monday. Marlboro was most affected with 929 homes without power. Holmdel had the second largest report of outages with 481.

Other towns reporting more than five outages in Monmouth included Aberdeen, Asbury Park, Colts Neck, Hazlet, Matawan, Middletown, Ocean and Tinton Falls.
