Two People Injured in Two-Car Crash in Point Beach

The crash occurred on Route 35 North and Forman Avenue

A crash at the intersection of Route 35 North and Forman Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach sent two people to the hospital on Friday morning, according to the Point Pleasant First Aid and Emergency Squad.

The occupants of the car were transported to Ocean Medical Center in Brick by Point Pleasant Borough First Aid Squad, according to Jerry Meaney, Captain of the Point Pleasant First Aid and Emergency Squad.

The Point Pleasant Beach Fire Department and Point Beach and Borough First Aid Squads worked together to care for the crash victims, Meaney said.

The Beach Fire Department used extrication tools to free the driver from the car, while also providing fire protection for the victims and first aid squads, he said.

Police were not immediately available to supply details, such as the names of those in the cars and whether any charges were filed.

There is many accidents on 35 north, pulling out of the side streets such as forman, trenton etc... I am sure you are right. I don't know what happened, but I just missed it by seconds. I went around it all. I have to say though, it is very hard to see out of many of the PPB streets, there is definitely obstruction of views, with overgrown bushes and cars that clearly block your view of on coming traffic on different streets and situations.

I agree those side street are deadly to try and pull out sometimes many are horrible blocked views by the time you pull out boom to late.

Yes, there are lots of trees/bushes and parked cars in the way when heading West on Forman Ave going across the railroad tracks.

That is the problem, the way everyone seems to speed, you are pulling out a little to try to see if a car is coming being there is blocked views, all they have to do is tap you because they are going down 35 at 65 miles an hour and then you both go into a tail spin and wind up somewhere on someones lawn. There is many streets in the beach that are bad with blocked views, if you are going west and try crossing over 35 south in areas, you have cars parked on both sides and bushes and trees. You can't see, I have to look through the car windows that are parked to help me see if something is coming. They shouldn't let people park on 35N to me. When you try to cross bay avenue too, very hard to see, cars are parked on both sides, trees and bushes, a lot of obstruction of views.
