Two People Injured in Two-Car Crash in Point Beach

The crash occurred on Route 35 North and Forman Avenue

A crash at the intersection of Route 35 North and Forman Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach sent two people to the hospital on Friday morning, according to the Point Pleasant First Aid and Emergency Squad.

The occupants of the car were transported to Ocean Medical Center in Brick by Point Pleasant Borough First Aid Squad, according to Jerry Meaney, Captain of the Point Pleasant First Aid and Emergency Squad.

The Point Pleasant Beach Fire Department and Point Beach and Borough First Aid Squads worked together to care for the crash victims, Meaney said.

The Beach Fire Department used extrication tools to free the driver from the car, while also providing fire protection for the victims and first aid squads, he said.

Police were not immediately available to supply details, such as the names of those in the cars and whether any charges were filed.
