But the frigid air mass will break for a few days when the winds switch to the southwest this morning. The high today will be near 31 degrees, which coupled with sunny skies, should break up icy patches on roadways. Winds will be from 6 to 11 miles per hour.

Saturday night will be mostly clear, with a low near 24 degrees, practically a heat wave considering the last several days. Winds will be from the southwest at 9 to 11 miles per hour.
