NJ Transit Trains Back to Normal Schedule

Disabled Amtrak train fixed; all Amtrak trains also back on normal schedule

All NJ Transit trains in and out of New York Penn Station are back to running on or close to schedule, according to a spokesman.

All lines had been delayed earlier due to a disabled Amtrak train in New York. However, that Amtrak train has been fitted with a new engine and is en route to North Carolina following a delay of four hours and 40 minutes, according to Christina Leeds, Amtrak media relations manager.

Once that train was cleared, it helped NJ Transit get back on schedule, with trains running normally now, said John Durso Jr., NJ Transit spokesperson, at 12:52 p.m. Wednesday.
