Point Beach Non-Residents Meet with Council June 15

The organization will meet with mayor and council at Antrim

 

The Point Pleasant Beach Non-Resident Taxpayers Advisory Committee (NRTAC) is the host for an inaugural meeting of non-resident taxpayers at the G. Harold Antrim Elementary School, 401 Niblick St., at 10 a.m. June 15.

The Mayor and Borough Council representatives will be in attendance and the meeting is being held "under the guidelines of Mayor Vincent Barrella," according to a meeting notice written by Seth Sloan, NRTAC chairperson and issued by the municipal clerk's office.

Non-residents will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions of the local officials and learn more about the work of NRTAC.

"We know that there are many concerns that non-resident taxpayers would like to see addressed. To help with our meeting planning, we ask that you now send any questions you’d like to ask at the meeting to ppbnrtac@gmail.com," the notice says.  "We also ask you to let us know if you plan on attending the meeting by replying to ppbnrtac@gmail.com."

A non-resident tax-payer is an owner of residential or commercial property in Point Pleasant Borough, who pays property taxes but is not eligible to vote in local elections, the notice says.
