UPDATE: Bay Head and Mantoloking Voters to Also Vote at Boro Hall

Point Boro's Bay Head Shores and Point Beach also voting in Point Boro's municipal building

 

All registered voters in Bay Head and Mantoloking, along with all Point Beach voters, will have to go to Borough Hall on Bridge Avenue in Point Borough to vote on Nov. 6.

The information about Bay Head Shores, which is part of Point Borough, Bay Head and Mantoloking, along with Point Beach, is posted on Point Borough's Facebook page.

The Point Beach information is also posted on the municipal website's home page and was also communicated to residents by Reverse 911 calls on Saturday.

Borough Hall may get crowded and voters are asked "to plan accordingly," says the Borough's Facebook page.

The Bay Head Shores section and the Borough's Sunshine Harbor section, were  heavily flooded, according to Borough Administrator David Maffei. He said at a meeting on Thursday afternoon that all other polling places will be the same as always.

The Point Beach website says:

"Registered Point Pleasant Beach voters are advised that all four districts will be voting at the Point Pleasant Borough Municipal Complex, 2233 Bridge Avenue - Point Pleasant, New Jersey, between 6 AM and 8 PM."

Regarding other matters related to residents' attempts to recover from the brutal tropical storm, the website also lists other information:

"The Presbyterian Church on Bay Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach has cleaning supplies available.

As of 7 AM, this date (Sat. Nov. 3), power is being restored to additional areas west of the railroad tracks. JCP&L reports that their efforts are continuing.

JCP&L advises that they have also established a free distribution center for water and ice at the Circle Factory Outlets, 1407 Atlantic Avenue, Wall.

The 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. curfew remains in effect in Point Pleasant Beach until further notice.

The ban on all alcohol sales and service, within the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach, remains in effect until further notice. Violators will be subject to summons and arrest under a strict enforcement policy.

Residents are urged to monitor the Point Pleasant Beach radio station at 1630 AM for further information. It will be updated periodically with additional information.

TRASH pick-up HAS RESUMED. BULK PICK-UP was POSTPONED and will take place on NOVEMBER 7 instead of October 31st.

The October 30th meeting of the Mayor and Council was CANCELLED and RESCHEDULED for Tuesday, November 6th, at 9 AM.
