The residents of Point Pleasant should turn out in force for this meeting, if nothing else, to show a unified support against these maps. Even if your house is not touched by a flood line, your taxes will be. Large numbers get attention. I plan on going.

Also, just saw this link in a APP article. The article said they will be taking comments on the fema mapping until 5 pm Tuesday. It's an email to the state DCA.

I'm sure the gym will be full!

It's not in the gym, it's in the multi-purpose room, just fyi.

Absolutely true and not well understood by those who were not flooded! Taxes will increase or services will be cut. It affects everyone. And imagine how many who were not flooded still have no idea what will be happening to their flood insurance premiums if they don't raise their house. I bet there are people who don't even know they are now in a flood zone when they never were before. Very important meeting.

I doubt it. People love to complain :) Myself included I suppose.

Too bad. I don't complain where it will do no good. I do complain when it can change things for theRead More better. Don't waste your time or be negative.
