Point Boro Leaf Collection Slightly Delayed

Schedule is two days behind, but work moving forward

Point Borough's leaf collection is delayed by two days, but is moving forward.

The borough public works crews had originally planned to clear leaves from Sections 2A and 2B on Monday, but that got postponed due to the large volume of leaves in other sections of town and the brush collection done on Tuesday. (The brush collections are done by appointment only.)

Crews hope to start working in those sections by Wednesday or Thursday.

The original schedule calls for leaf collection in Sections 3A and 3B this Monday and collection in Sections 4A and 4B on Dec. 26. However, that schedule may be slightly delayed due to the current delay in Sections 2A and 2B.

If you do not know which section you are in, please see attached map, courtesy of the Public Works section of the borough web site.

Residents are also reminded that they may no longer place ornamental grass out with their leaf collection. The County will no longer accept these items mixed together, according to borough public works.

Ornamental Grass must now be a part of the monthly brush collection and must be tied in bundles or placed in containers.
