Point Boro Replacing 50 Year-old Pumping Stations

Point Pleasant Borough plans to upgrade two pumping stations in town, and hopes to award a bid for the work within the next couple council meetings. 

At issue are aging sewerage systems in the Meadow Point and Bradley Road Sewage Pumping Stations.

“These are 50 year old pumping stations,” said Mayor William Schroeder. “We want to upgrade these hazardous facilities.”

Construction could start spring 2014, said the mayor.

At its Nov. 19 meeting, borough council voted to have the clerk prepare the construction phase engineering bid resolution for the December meeting.
