Point Boro's Mistletoe Avenue to Re-open Today and Close on Monday

A broken drainage pipe had to be replaced

Mistletoe Avenue is re-opening Friday afternoon, but will close again on Monday for road resurfacing necessitated by repair to a broken drainage pipe, according to Point Borough Public Works.

Mistletoe has been closed in both directions between Riverwood Ave and Oak Terrace part of Thursday into Friday because an old, rotted drainage pipe collapsed and had to be replaced, said Michael Pizzi, Public Works Water and Sewer Supervisor on Friday afternoon.

The road will be closed for most of the day on Monday so crews can lay the final layer of black coat, which will finish the job, and then the road will be re-opened, Pizzi said.
