The average homeowner in Point Pleasant Beach could see a tax increase of just over $50 per year.

So said the council on June 3 meeting when it held a public hearing on the municipal budget, according to The Ocean-Star.

The Ocean-Star reported that the proposed municipal budget for 2014 totals $14,185,247, as opposed to last year’s budget amount of $13,906,043.
