Point Boro Is Giving People The 'Signs' To Help With Their Houses, Post-Sandy

You now can put three signs up to help sell your Point Pleasant Boro house that's on the market.

That could be helpful to property owners as the borough and the region continue to recover their losses more than a year after Hurricane Sandy.

During its Tuesday meeting, the Point Boro Council said it's changing its ordinances and allowing signs - each sign advertising the financial institution, realty and development involved  - on a property for sale.

Council President Bob Sabosik said the borough hopes that the signs will "help facilitate the process for people so they can get financing" on these homes.

Council member Antoinette DePaola noted that there are limits to the sizes of signs, and borough ordinances will prevent them "from lighting up like a Christmas tree."
