Sandy-Flooded Residents Should Apply for This Grant

Point Boro: Hazard mitigation grants may be available

Point Borough is urging its Sandy-flooded residents to apply for FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grants.

Attached is an application form that eligible Borough homeowners are being urged to complete and submit by February 5 for FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.

Also attached is an instruction form for the residents (it's best for residents to read the instructions before completing the application).

The application must be returned to the Borough, then the Borough submits a complete application on behalf of the interested residents, said Borough Administrator David Maffei.

"This is a competitive grant and there is no guarantee that anyone will receive funding," Maffei said.
