What a joke! I can remember being a child in the fifties and walking to and from school in the hip deep snow. A little snow and the whole Nation starts naming them fancy names.

Sandra Wait till the summer arrives ...and they may call a heat wave over 100 degrees by names also . This is what happens when you give too many people to much power . It goes to there heads.

I too remember that, but the problem is,people sued the school systems when children fell. .For school buses, they cant travel for the same reason..
Its a shame things are the way they are,but we live in a world where people sue for anything and everything..We have to ask ourselves: If the school system said it was ok for my child walk to school, fell on their way to school, on school property................Would I suee the school? Some would, but the insurgence company cant take the chance and neither can our board of Ed..The days of fun slipping, slideing and catching snow flakes on our way to school are gone.

Would that be anything like a waste of time?
Rick February 10, 2013 at 04:35 am
Not for nothing, but I remember a bunch of major blizzards in the 50s, 60s and on up to the 90s. Many were back to back.
Global warming then too?

The height of human arrogance is displayed in the "global warming", etc. movement.
