Supervisor Files Suit Against Vicari, Claims Gender Discrimination and Harassment, Report Says

Lawsuit filed in Monmouth County, to avoid any potential bias


An Ocean County supervisor claims that longtime Ocean County Freeholder Joseph H. Vicari orchestrated a harassment and gender discrimination campaign that included a county consultant forcing a kiss on her and bragging repeatedly about his sexual escapades, according to a lawsuit, according to a report in the Asbury Park Press.

The employee, Rosemary Mennona, who is the general supervisor of building services for the county, and her husband, John, made the claims in the suit filed April 4 in state Superior Court in Monmouth County. The suit was not filed in Ocean County so it could avoid any bias, the suit claimed.
