Kids Vs. Cops Basketball Game Raises $500 for Eighth Grade Class

PBA 158 played the Memorial Middle School eighth grade boys and girls in a basketball fundraiser for the eighth grade class.

The recent Kids vs. Cops game at Memorial Middle School raised $500 for the eighth grade class dance.

Ticket sales from the game played by PBA 158 and the eighth grade students will be used for the eighth grade dance at the end of the school year, said Italian teacher Stacey Camilleri.

"We are so grateful to the Point Pleasant Police Department for donating their time and skills," Camilleri said.

PBA 158 played the Memorial Middle School eighth grade boys and girls in a basketball fundraiser for the eighth grade class at the middle school on April 7, with the cops winning 65 to 54, said Officer Josh Gunnell, who organized it.

Spectators got T-shirts commemorating the event and prizes were given away, including a gift certificate for a new bicycle, gift certificates to Dairy Queen, Baja East and Bubbakoo's Burritos.
