Point Beach Schools Closed Wed., Will Start Late Thursday

Regular schedule on Friday

Due to the weather forecast, Point Beach schools will remain closed on Wednesday but will reopen on Thursday following a two-hour delayed schedule, said Schools Superintendent John Ravally on Tuesday.

"We will be open on Friday for a regular day," Ravally said. "Our hope is to get the kids back together with their teachers and friends as soon as possible so we can best assess how we can help them move forward."

The original plan was that all public schools in New Jersey would be closed Thursday and Friday for the annual teachers' convention in Atlantic City. However, the convention was cancelled due to storm damage in Atlantic City.
