Point Boro HS to Perform 'Meet Me in St. Louis'

The family musical featuring hits "The Trolley Song" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" is the next to grace the Point Pleasant Borough High School stage.

The Point Pleasant Borough High School Performing Arts Department chose "Meet Me In St. Louis" as its March student theater production. Ian Kearns is the Director for the play, which will be performed March 19-22.

A brief plot synopsis from Point Boro High School acting teacher Becky Muraglia: "In the year before the 1904 St Louis World's Fair, the four Smith daughters learn lessons of life and love, even as they prepare for a reluctant move to New York. In the musical Meet Me in St. Louis, the audience can be transported back to a simpler time, enjoying big hits including “The Boy Next Door,” “The Trolley Song” and, of course, that timeless Holiday classic “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. This musical is a fun musical suited for the entire family!"

Performances are 7 p.m. March 19, 20; 7:30 p.m. March 21, 22. $10 for tickets.
