"Dance the night away in your 80’s attire with the bands 1.21 Gigawatts and Brian Kirk and the Jirks," says a prepared statement from the PTO. Prizes will be awarded for the “King and Queen of the 80’s Prom Look,” “Best 80s Celebrity Impersonator” and "The Best 80s Hair: highest and best mullet.”

Jenkinson’s donated use of the club, buffet, two bands and DJ for the event, according to the PTO.

The PTO, a volunteer organization run by Antrim parents and teachers, is holding the fundraiser to help restore revenue lost when Sandy caused the cancellation of other fundraisers.

For example, the Annual Holiday Cooks Tour, which was traditionally held each year on the first Saturday in December, was canceled. That event represents approximately 85% of the PTO’s funds which go to support the Antrim students and staff.

Additional support to the PTO can be provided by purchasing 50/50 tickets at the event on Saturday night. The winner will be drawn that evening.
