Six New Teachers and a Golf Fundraiser at Point Beach Schools

Fundraiser at Manasquan River Golf Club scheduled for Monday

Six new teachers and an upcoming golf fundraiser are part of what's new in the Point Beach school district.

The  golf outing is scheduled for Moday at the Manasquan River Golf Club in Brielle. Registration begins at 10 a.m.

According to Schools Superintendent John Ravally, the district has an unusually high number of new teachers this year, due to an unusually high number of recent retirements and resignations.

The three new teachers are as follows:

Michael McGee, a 1995 Point Beach High School graduate, is a new high school Social Studies teacher, replacing Steve Sasse. McGee had taught for a few years in the Sayreville school district.

Dr. Paul DiPasquale is now teaching high school chemistry, replacing Robert Strauss.

Anthony Logothetis is teaching high school Math, replacing Mary Testa.

There are also three new teachers at

Jonna Meenan is teaching sixth grade Math, replacing Sharon Aceta, who moved to North Carolina, Ravally said.

Ginette Domena is teaching Spanish part-time, replacing Heather Newman, who left to work as a full-time guidance counselor in another district.

Kristin Ashley is filling in for Dana Bartocci from October to February.
