Lacey eliminated the Garnett Gulls by the score of 6-0. With the defeat, Point Beach will now set its sights on the NJSIAA Tournament.

The Point Beach girls soccer team, although they did not qualify for this year’s Shore Conference Tournament, will look to win their third game in four tries tomorrow afternoon against Barnegat High School.

Now or Never:

The Point Borough Varsity Football team thanks to consecutive losses to both Wall and Monsignor Donovan High Schools, faces an uphill climb in order to qualify for the NJSIAA State Playoffs.

The Panthers with a record of 2-3 on the season will look to get back to the .500 mark against Lakewood High School tonight at 7:00.

“We’re not happy with where we are at this point in the season, but there’s a lot of football left in our season,” said Point Borough head coach Sean Henry. “We just have to take it one game at a time, and that starts Friday against a tough Lakewood team, but our boys are up for the challenge.”

With four games remaining, the Panthers will need to have a record of 3-1 in order to qualify for the NJ State Playoffs.

Surpassing Expectations:

The Point Beach Football team continues to surpass expectations in Head Coach John Wagner’s first season at the helm for the Garnet Gulls.

The Gulls are on pace for their first winning season in 14 seasons.

After three straight wins the Gulls will try to make it four straight victories against Mater Dei High School tonight at 7:00.
