Point Pleasant Barracudas U-13 girls travel soccer team, made up of 14 girls, just won the NJYS STATE CUP.
They are the champions out of 41 teams played in the division.
The girls defeated the Ripe Tide Red of the Strong hold soccer club with a nail biter final score of 3-2.
With five years together and Coaches Wendi Yocum and Alex House as their leaders, the team battled through six tough wins - the Lawrence Hamnette S.A. Fireballs 5-0, the F.C. Maximus 1-0, Torpedo F.C. 2-1, and B.elite Player Development S.C. 1-0, up to the semifinals where they played against Ocean Township.
