Point Beach Boys Win State Championship 43-39

Garnet Gulls Fourth Quarter Surge Bests Dayton For NJSIAA Group 1 Tournament Title

 

Point Beach boys basketball not only won the state championship Sunday night, but also made school history.

The team beat Dayton 43-39 to win their first group championship on the same day the girls team won their first ever state championship in Toms River, as reported by Matt Manley for All Shore Media.

"Point Beach drew the No. 6 seed in the six-team Tournament of Champions and will play Group IV champion and third-seeded Atlantic City on Wednesday, 8 p.m. at Pine Belt Arena in Toms River in its first T of C game in program history," All Shore Media reports.
