Point Beach Football Beats Spotswood 38-7

Beach heads to playoffs for first time since 2001

Point Beach, is now 6-2, with Friday night's stunning victory.

Point Beach, in Central Jersey Group I, now moves ahead of Highland Park, which holds the sixth spot by a one-point margin and has played eight regular-season games.

Voice of reason, will the Point Beach vs. Don Bosco game be home or away? You my friend are are freaking fool!
Darlene Motto November 06, 2011 at 02:13 AM
@ the voice of reason, You are ignorant, these boys have been working hard as a team and I am proud of them all. It is amazing how they are playing together. This is proof that the right coach can figure out the winning combination to utilize ALL his players to make them all feel important and good about themselves. They are breaking all kinds of records and haven't been in this position in a long time. Good Luck, Beach Boys Football. Kudos to Coach Wagner for making it possible , you are living proof that the right coach can make our team look and play great. What a difference a year can make.

Voice of reason - all the schools you mention actively recruit players from all over new jersey - point beach football are all kids that live in the town, go to the highschool, and grew up here.

Voice of reason must have been scolded by all the school parents. I am surprised cheerleader M. Broduer isn't on here!!
BeachMom2012 November 07, 2011 at 02:30 PM
Awww, that's so sad that you are posting comments like this. Shame on you.
M Brodeur November 08, 2011 at 01:29 AM
Hello Charles Clark, Sorry you missed me. Been busy and have limited time to read the interesting comments on the Patch. By the way, it's Brodeur, not Broduer. Don Bosco Prep? To be honest, I don't think the Beach would do too well against them...but I'd be more than happy to apologize to them in person should I be proven wrong. Pick any other Group I public school from up north (or South, or West)...I'd give the Beach team a good chance there. Rah Rah!

Thank goodness Pt. Beach isn`t in South Jersey. I`d hate to be lumped in with those joke teams. Central Jersey Group 1 all the way.
BeachMom2012 November 08, 2011 at 10:57 AM
The last time I looked, Pt Beach football was Central Jersey Group I. So Voice isn't even referring to us, the way I see it.

Voice of reason, you're comparing apples to oranges just to make unnecessary negative comments about high school kids. As noted by a couple of others, Point Beach is a Group I school. Of course they couldn't compete against Don Bosco, which is a Group IV school. There isn't a Group I team in the state -- including North Jersey -- that could compete with Bosco, which is why the NJSIAA doesn't ask them to do so.
Karen Wall November 08, 2011 at 11:36 PM
No one here is disputing that Don Bosco is a tremendous team. You are the only one belittling the efforts and abilities of high school players. My only question to you is why? Why do you feel the need to bash kids?
Peter Pan November 09, 2011 at 12:04 AM
Hey Voice, where did you play your high school ball?
the voice of reason November 09, 2011 at 12:33 AM

voice, you are sad, very very sad! You mind is the size of a peanut.... If you have to pick on a bunch of H.S. football kids, you should stop posting nasty remarks about the community football teams because you are portraying the actions of a bully. If you don't like them, there is no need for you to comment on all their victories or posts. We get it, you like Don Bosco, this story is not on them, so why don't you go comment on their posts.
